Introduction to Our Class Web Site

ATTENTION, SIRS! (... and our two ma'ams).

It is never too early to start planning for one's 50th Reunion ... and that is exactly what your Culver Class of 1962 Reunion Committee is starting to do. One of the cornerstones of this planning is the development of our own Class of '62 web site. We are pleased to announce that the initial version of this site is now ready for your surfing pleasure at www.cma62.org

If you don't have a UserID and Password, contact Your Webmasters-in-Training: to get them. Then you can login and see the entire web site, not just the "public" information.

Once you are logged in, here are some highlights of what you can link to:

Hopefully, by now, you so anxious to explore this incredible web site that you don't want to be bothered reading any further. OK. GO DO IT! Check out the web site. Then, come back and read the rest of our sage advice and humble requests at your leisure.

OUR SAGE ADVICE ... and Humble Requests

When you go to www.cma62.org , log into the website by selecting 'Log In/Out' on the menu bar at the top of the page. Once you login, you will see the private sections (indicated by *) on the menu bar. This means that only classmates may observe the information contained on these pages. If you and your family are the only ones that have access to your computer, then leave the 'Remember my password...' option checked so that you will not have to enter your access codes each time you bring up www.cma62.org. To change your password, go to the first section under your "profile" and make that change.

Please be aware that personal alumni data is blocked from view for all except those website viewers with a login access code, and is not open to the general Internet viewer. Addresses (including e-mail) and phone numbers are not displayed on the "public" Website.

More importantly, at your convenience, please select 'My Profile' from the menu and update or add to what is there. Don't be intimidated by the length of the form. You can fill in as little or as much as you wish. And you can do it in one sitting or during multiple sessions. Just remember to SAVE each section when you have completed your input. You can go back, add to it, edit your typos, and re-save the updates whenever you want. The information in your profile is what will be displayed when someone clicks on your name from the 'Roll Call' page.

We encourage you to look at the profiles of Doug Neumann, Ken Calhoun, John Davis, Joe Schluchter, Pac Wildman, and Andy Malcolm to see how easy it is to write something and to get ideas regarding what to write about. Creativity counts! (But keep it clean! That means you, Neumann!)

Please send us a current picture so we may insert it with your class picture (getting a sense of "Then" and "Now" is most interesting). Pictures with your significant other are encouraged. You will see several of your classmates have already done this. We will take care of the "formatting"; just send the picture (email or snail mail). In case you are worried that you may have aged (some haven't -- see the 45th reunion page -- especially Mike Koether), look at the rest of us: you will feel right at home. Look at our other reunion pages to see this aging happen right in front of your eyes.

Speaking of the reunion pages, please note that we have tried to put names on the faces of our classmates. However, our memories aren't as good as we would like, so if you would send us the names of those who have not been identified (or identified incorrectly), it would really help us. Sadly, one of the pictures in the collection on the 45th reunion page shows two classmates talking together who are now deceased. Please stay healthy.

From the Scrapbook page, click on the "Snowy Day" link, turn up your sound, and listen for your footsteps marching in the snow and the chimes of the chapel ringing over the campus.

We hope that this site will rekindle your interest in Culver and let you remember fondly your time during those glorious years. We can't go back in time, but we can remember those times.

Our view is that this web site will always be a "work in progress". We encourage your comments and suggestions for corrections and improvements.

If you know other classmates, email them and encourage them to add to their profiles. We only have about 50% of our class' e-mail addresses so we are looking for all of them. Help us to have the best class web site and hopefully, the best 50th reunion possible.
